Awkward Turtle Nail Polish

I have a problem and it's collecting green polishes. I first bought Awkward Turtle.... a couple of years ago. I still keep it in my personal stock.

Now, Awkward Turtle is the perfect example of why you need to read the description of the polish and not just look at the pictures. Always read the description. This is holo polish, and like all Superchic holos, it's so jam packed that the colour shifts with lighting. Awkward Turtle goes from a turtley mossier tinted olive green to darker emeraldier warm green to near damn mustardy bronze. It's olive green, like it says, which means the colour has a distinct yellowness and browness to it. In fact, if you check the pigment ingredients on the bottle, and leave it in the back of your collection for months without shaking, you can see the different base colours underneath the holo is a combo of lighter muted olive greens and darker greens and almost mustardy green. I have never seen the like of Awkward Turtle when it comes to the amount of holo and the perfect, perfect olive green with a slight coppery yellowy tint to the holo. The base under the holo is just the perfect opacity to give a great depth of colour I can't stop staring at. Now, if you prefer a more distinct green, I'd like to recommend Superchic's No Rest for the Wicked, which is a brilliant emerald green with a dark base for similar depth without the oliveness of Awkward Turtle.

As with all Superchic polishes, shake well before use, and you can do one medium thick coat and be done with it. I prefer thinner coats, and find two coats to be absolutely sublime in the depth it gives me, especially with the Marvel liquid macro top coat. Awkward Turtle can easily last without chipping for about a week with the right base and top coats.

This stunning green matches all the olive/camo colored clothes I own. I was blown away by how gorgeous this color turned out. If your on the fence about buying, TRUST ME you NEED this in your life!

This is a gorgeous shade of green that is dazzling in the sun. Pictures do NOT do these polishes justice, the depth of the holo is so delicate and shimmers so well. It is also a one coat application if you wish, making it super easy to use and enjoy. I love it.

I love green nail polished and this on applies so nicely and stays on with the bring it on base coat marvelously!

This stuff is GORGEOUS. It's opaque in one coat! I'm gonna go paint my nails with it right now!

I can't believe how much Holo this has. I compared about 20 olive green Holo polishes. I thought this was the prettiest and I was not wrong. It is leafy green and the Holo is one of the best I have. I love it!!!

Once again this brand doesn’t disappoint! The green is gorgeous and gets a ton of compliments. I can’t stop looking at my pretty manicure! This formula doesn’t seem as thick as the other SuperChic Holos I’ve tried and isn’t a one coat wonder, but two coats is totally reasonable and looks just as beautiful! A+ in my book!

Okay so by now we all know this is the place to get one coat hollo but Omg you don't understand how awesome this polish is. I want to cover myself in this stuff!

Love this color! Beautiful in any lighting but in the sun the holo is magical!
