According to the FDA

Toluene in Nail Polishes and Other Nail Products: Toluene is used as a solvent in a variety of nail products, including some nail polishes, nail hardeners, and polish removers; however, its use is being phased-out. The CIR reviewed toluene in 1987, determining that it was safe for use in nail products at concentrations up to 50 percent, which is the highest concentration observed in nail products.

The CIR reviewed its toluene safety assessment again in 2005, along with new information. At that time, CIR confirmed that many of the new studies reported findings consistent with the data in its earlier safety assessment, in that any reported adverse effects occurred only at levels many times higher than those observed when people used nail polish, and that the number of nail products containing toluene had dropped sharply.

Glad I tried this top coat!

I am so glad that I took the chance on this top coat! I got frustrated with the other brand that I used to use because of the shrinkage of the nail polish. If you wanted to use it a few days later on your manicure to refresh it, it would shrink your existing manicure so bad that a lot of times my whole nail polish would just pop off! So I tried this, not a problem! Love it! Also, I felt that I couldn't with a good conscious recommend this to child bearing age women because of the warning that was stated on their box that it could cause infertility. That's not a problem for me, but could be for younger women and my son's girlfriend, as I hope they will give me grandchildren in the future! And I currently ran out of this and had to use my old top coat, and guess what, it shrank my newly manicured nails! This macro top coat is also very fast drying and makes your nails super shiney and helps protect your manicure!

I love this top coat. It dries fast. There's no shrinkage. It's super shiny.

I had used this top coat for 3 years now all I can say is that great price and fabulous top coat I had used, is good for for stamping it doesn't mestup the stamping and let one or two weeks I will purchase again because is a good top coat love it

I tried the regular bottle of this and went through the whole thing -which took longer than I expected- because it is the only top coat I will use anymore. I can't believe how much you get for the price of this refill bottle, it is SO worth it

This is my go to topcoat, I’ve tried others but they don’t tend to hold up as well for me without getting scuffed or having shrinkage issues.

Best Top Coat

Love this top coat! It's much higher viscosity than a regular polish, so you get a nice thick layer on top of your laquer. Dries in minutes even when put on still damp polish. I only wish it wouldn't sell out so often!
